中国共产党优秀党员，著名京剧艺术大师，京剧赵派艺术创始人，国家级非物质文化遗产项目（京剧）代表性传承人，第三届、第四届、第五届、第六届全国人大代表，中国文联终身成就奖（戏剧）获得者，北京京剧院奠基人之一，老文艺一级演员，原北京京剧团副团长、北京京剧院一团团长赵燕侠同志，因病于2025年3月19日16时10分在京逝世，享年97岁。
遵照家属意见，不设灵堂。赵燕侠同志遗体告别仪式定于3月23日（星期日）上午9时，在北京八宝山殡仪馆东礼堂举行。
